Grand Re-Opening

Come by on this Saturday, September 25th, to help us celebrate our new digs! The party is getting started around noon with food from Carrabba’s, and Magic 102.1 is doing a live radio feed of the party all afternoon. We’re doing giveaways, raffles, and having all sorts of fun activities throughout the day.

If you haven’t had a chance to see what we’ve been working on, it’s definitely worth a visit. With 6,000 new square feet of space, the biggest and best walk-in humidor in town, a gigantic customer access beer cave, and more beer, wine, liquor and cigars than we’ve ever had before, it’s worth a trip!

Stop by any time on Saturday – we’ll be partying all day long.

Thomas George Estates

We just picked up three excellent new wines from Thomas George Estates, a small, artisan winery in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Thomas George produces small-lot, handmade wines that are elegant and expressive.

We have the 2007 Dry Creek Zinfandel, a deep, luscious wine with notes of black raspberry, vanilla, and plum. Well-balanced cocoa tannins give the wine structure and elegance, with a hint of blackberry on the long finish. ($29.99.)

The 2007 Dry Creek Viognier is aromatic, floral, and lovely. This Viognier is fermented in all stainless steel and undergoes no malolactic fermentation, leaving the wine bright and expressive, with notes of jasmine and honeysuckle. ($29.99, on sale with the Club Card for $27.99.)

For a California Sauvignon Blanc, the 2007 Dry Creek Valley has great, zippy acidity, and a pink grapefruit note that is slightly reminiscent of New Zealand. It’s difficult to find a well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc from California, and this one hits the mark. Candied pineapple notes toward the finish. ($24.99.)

Check out more about these wines at thomasgeorgeestates.com.
