December 3, 2009 Dear FPBS Customer, We know you are all very busy this time of year so we're going to keep our events to a minimum! As they say "quality" not "quantity" right? In any case we hope you enjoy the two wine tastings we have lined up. In the mean time, don't forget to stop by one of the stores for your holiday party needs! Thursday December 10th at 5:00pm: Wine Tasting at the Rialto Room
The second installment of tastings at the swanky lounge in the basement of the Indigo Hotel! The Rialto Room is actually a PRIVATE CLUB!! In other words, this tasting is a chance to see it without being escorted by a member:) It is gorgeous down there with a beautiful bar, plush couches, and luxurious chairs. The perfect place to relax with a few friends and taste a little wine. The cost is $20 and includes a taste of 6 wines and hors d'oeuvres provided by the club. The tasting will be very casual so feel free to stop in anytime between 5:00 and 7:00pm. See you there.
Wednesday December 16th at 6:00pm: Holiday Food and Wine Pairing Dinner at Speakeasy
Join us Wednesday December 16th from 6-9pm for a Holiday Wine and Food Pairing Dinner at Speakeasy downtown. We will be discussing and tasting some classic pairings, and a few unusual ones too. The cost is $40 and includes the following food and wine pairings: Brassfield Serenity white blend served with Oysters with Creme Fraiche and Caviar La Craie Vouvray Chenin Blanc with Sweetbreads and Risotto Selby Sauvignon Blanc with Halibut and Orange and Fennel Orzo Row 11 Pinot Noir and Rabbit Cassoulet Selby Syrah served with Braised Pork Belly and Heirloom Beans Budini Malbec paired with Strip Steak, Grits, and Manchego
